The Challenge
Manifold collaborated with a medical supplies company to revitalize their outdated patient portal, which struggled with poor user engagement and inefficient API usage. We implemented a Single Page Application (SPA) coupled with an Aggregation/Proxy API that streamlined patient interactions and significantly reduced call center strain.
By leveraging over 30 existing APIs, we introduced a configuration-based proxy layer that required no changes to core endpoints, ensuring rapid implementation. The new solution enhanced security, improved performance, and enabled scalable, cost-efficient development for future expansion, with a focus on security and reliability.

Renewed UI & Enhanced Patient Journey
A redesigned user interface that improved patient experience and interaction with the portal. Doubled the patient portal users over two years, with plans to triple by the end of 2024.

Unified configurable security layer lto manage patient permissions. Successfully passed two annual security audits and penetration tests.
